Dixons.co.uk launches earphones for your dog

As any fule know, dogs look like their owners. In that case, you'll need a mutt who's as into tech as you are.

Following the doggy satnav unveiled at Crufts, Dixons.co.uk is launching its own range of dog headphones.

Named Dogphones, they're moulded to fit your mutt's ears, and transmit at higher frequencies than human headphones. So you won't be able to hear the sound leaking out the sides.

They're also wireless to avoid your pooch getting his feet tangled.

A spokesman for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home adds: "It's great that Brits care so much about their animals and that Dixons has found a new way to stimulate and amuse dogs. The Dogphones have been developed to be safe and comfortable for dogs. We recommend that use of Dogphones is always supervised with an adult and we'd like to remind people that standard headphones aren't suitable for pets."

So please don't try to force Enya down Rover's ears.

They'll be available later this Summer, for £30. Anyone wanting to express an interest should click the link at the bottom of the page.

And in late-breaking language news, the word 'gullible' has been taken out of the dictionary.
