Apple tops the table

Less surprising than a surprise birthday party organised by you, for you, are the results of the first Brandjunkies Awards hosted by online site brandchannel.

Looking to discover the brand with the most global impact from a survey of 2,000 professionals and students across 107 countries, it seems Apple is ruling the roost.

Topping six individual categories, Apple collected such accolades as Most Inspiring Brand and Brand You Couldn't Live Without while rivals such as Microsoft were left clutching awards for Brand People Most Want To Argue With and Brand That Needs A Revamp The Most. Stop sniggering Jobs and co.

Hot on Apple's heels were Nike, Coca Cola, Google and Starbucks, with Beardy Branson's Virgin showing well in a couple of votes. Some of the categories strike us as a little tenuous though, such as the 'Who would you most like to have dinner with', which Apple once again won with one overly-enthusiastic voter commenting, "I'd like to get to know them better, or at least hop into bed with them for a quickie." Seems like everyone's after a bite of the apple.
