Atoms away

There's not much Sharp's new UMPC can't do. With Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, 2.0Mp camera, five-inch LED backlit 1024x600 touchscreen, 1GB of memory and 40GB drive, it's got more bells and whistles than a bell and whistle shop. Oh, there's also a TV tuner.

Proof that good things do indeed come in small packages, the diminutive 188x84x26mm model crams in full QWERTY keyboard and runs Windows Vista Home Premium powered by that meaty ol' 1.33GHz Atom Z520.

Landing in Japan come the summer, it'll set the natives back around $1,280 but won't be arriving here anytime soon as it's configured solely for Japan's PHS network for phone calls. We're going to live in Japan.
