Cowon N3 gets reinvented in wood

What is it about encasing something in wood that so gives the consuming public, well, wood? Maybe it's the eco aspect (think again green warriors - they must have cut a tree down to make this puppy), or the chic unique appeal, despite the fact that it's becoming more common than the cast of Shameless. Either way, the trend is apparently here to stay.

Which is likely why Cowon has released a special splintery edition of its multi-tasking N3 GPS-cum-media player, bedecked in Burl Walnut presumably to match the interiors of all those old skool Rovers and Jags. Walnut-y.

Fans of the wood will be paying a $20 premium for the 2GB DMB N3 with GPS and all the standard features like touchscreen, electronic diary and Picture-in-Picture. No mention if it comes supplied with a couple of sheets of sandpaper.
