Star Guitar

As has been decreed by the lords of rock, since pre-way-before Spinal Tap, air guitar is as integral to rock music as a pair of skyward-pointing devil horns.

Yet despite your best intentions, impromptu stringless strumming on the dancefloor can leave you with even less rock credibility than Nickelback. Well now you can unleash that inner rock god and salvage cool points with the newly exposed Guitar RockStar.

It's essentially a plastic head and neck of a guitar, with invisible infa-red strings just waiting to be thrashed. Your career as a rock star is just waiting to kick off with the notes A-G on the neck, alongside the sharp, flats, seventh buttons and even a minor chord.

Its 'sawn-off' style makes it easily portable, so you can just whack it out when you get the urge. The head holds eight pre-recorded classic songs to rock along to including Wild Thing by The Troggs, and Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple.

Equally you can switch to free play and improvise away. It even includes input and output jacks so that you can hook it up to an Amp, if you're feeling fearless, or plug it into your MP3 and strum along to your own favourites.

It's 'rocking and rolling' into our lives at the end of May, for the 'pocket-sized' price of £14.99
