thanks to the power of Xbox Series X
Project xCloud, Microsoft's streaming service, is still in beta. It is expected that in the coming months it will reach more regions, so more and more players will be able to enjoy Xbox One titles on mobile devices.
Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, and Kareem Choudhry, corporate vice president of play in the cloud Microsoft revealed last year that the service is powered by special hardware whose potential is equivalent to the Xbox One S 8.
With the arrival of the new generation, all to the point that Microsoft has ambitious plans to further improve the scope of Project xCloud. According to recent information, this will be possible thanks to Xbox X Series.
MICROSOFT PLANS TO UPGRADE PROJECT XCLOUD SERVERS
According to Tom Warren, a journalist specializing in technology and video games, Microsoft will update Project xCloud's servers in 2021. According to the details, the company will make the streaming service powered by Xbox Series X hardware.
During the launch of Project xCloud, the service is estimated to still work with Xbox One S hardware. The change in servers for the streaming service would take advantage of the Xbox Series X processor, which would translate into better performance.
Another rather striking detail is that Project xCloud would be officially launched this year as part of the Xbox Game Pass. This would mean that the games available on the Xbox Game Pass could be run on multiple devices with no installations in between thanks to Project xCloud.
We have known for a long time that Microsoft has also started testing Project xCloud on PC. If the information is correct, then the service could also be used with Xbox Game Pass on PC.
