Presentation and launch dates of the iPhone 12: we will see it in the middle of October

The iPhone 12 is getting closer. We knew that its presentation should take place at the end of this year, and thanks to the well-known Jon Prosser, one of the most reliable sources in everything regarding the Apple world, we have quite specific dates.

According to Prosser Apple plans to hold two different launches on different dates, one that will be dedicated to the iPhone 12, and the other that will be focused on the Apple Watch Series 6 and the new iPads. These are the dates you have given:

The iPhone 12 will be presented, in its different versions, coming out in the week of October 12. This means that the presentation event could be held between Monday, October 12, and Sunday, October 18.

Both the Apple Watch Series 6 and the new iPads will be presented in the week of September 7, which means, as in the previous case, that we could see them between Monday, September 7, and Sunday, September 13.

It is important to note that the filing date does not equal the availability date. As many of our readers will know, Apple tends to present many of its products at one point in time but may delay its availability for several weeks. This happens very frequently when we talk about the iPhone.

Well, Prosser has taken this into account, and therefore has also listed a pre-purchase availability date for the iPhone 12 and has given an estimate of the iPhone 12 Pro. Yes, you read that correctly, we have differentiated because, in theory, both models will not be available at the same time. This makes sense, as COVID-19 has had a major impact on the supply chain and Apple has been one of the companies that have been affected.

The pre-purchase of the iPhone 12 will open in the week of October 19, and the pre-purchase of the iPhone 12 Pro could start later, specifically in early November, although there is still nothing definitive. In case anyone doubts the credibility of this information, I remind you that the iPhone X hit the market on November 3, 2017, so yes, everything fits without problems.

It is said that Apple will not hold a special launch event for both products and that there will only be an event dedicated to the iPhone 12. The Apple Watch Series 6 and the new iPads will be presented through press releases.
